I closed my eyes last night and saw you, the way you were. Waving at me from the end of the walk one hand resting gently on the post that holds up the gate. I could hear the sounds of the gate swinging softly shut and your footsteps falling on the hard concrete as you walked away. Christopher M. ChrisG~ So nostalgic is the picture of this moment. Beautifully done. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Beautiful, the motivation of this piece leaves so much for the reader's imagination, yet the degree of detail you've written into it sustains, actually becomes, the poem. Again, wonderful work, Chris. ~ Claire |

Thank you Marilyn and Claire...and no..this isn't from life's experience that I speak from here...or is it? I guess at one point or another we have all let someone walk away... Anyway...thanks for the kind responses. Chris Never be a carbon copy of anybody...make your own impressions. - ANON. |

Sometimes the simplest of actions can be the most poignant and leave the strongest memories. Very well written |
