Spring Seduction

On my window
raindrops knock
for my attention
smell of springs
liquid dimension.
Black birds cawing
barren shadowed trees
roads glisten charcoal
tires splashing water
rhythm with the wipers.
Earths rawest fragrance seeping
through my open window,
puddled daylight
breaks on far horizon,
dreams suspended in a
timeless river
of springs seduction.
Burrowed deeper
into the mattress
seeking mellow memories
of buds sunlighted into bloom
and a new lover resting
contented
on my pillow.
