Searching through the darkness, Meager in my quest, Straining 'gainst the harness Of the failures of the rest. I reach out for that something That I've never felt or seen, That thing that's neither false nor real But something in-between. I struggle onward slowly Like my feet are caught in mire And am pushed forward only By my passion and desire. I stretch my hand out t'ward it As it clearly comes in view. The thing that I've been searching for Has all the time been YOU. Knowlege tempered by wisdom...Wisdom tamed by youth. |

Beautiful verse sir. Most of the time, what we are looking so hard for, is right under our nose. If it makes you feel any better, I'm stuck in that same mire you are...I guess it's like the family mud puddle...sheesh. My own *quest* seems to be a little out of my reach unfortunately. I think I'm safer living for today, while letting others dream of tomorrows. Thanks...I think you've oiled my rusty wheels a bit. |
