Waiting, in anticipation of times to come A steady rhythm of noise and laughter Flocks of people rushing before my eyes Relentlessly pushed forward by digital clocks Just shadows on my mind Embracing couples left and right Quick romance and long-stem roses Floating kisses and tears good-bye Hearts pounding, erotic thoughts Longing for an island to break away For a moment only And amidst all their liveliness Weightless, like a vacuum My relics detached from the world Unnoticed passing their happy faces Numbness amplified by the scenes beheld Exhaustion and silence within myself Yet a faint flame of a dream kept alive And when my ship comes in the harbor I will be waiting at the airport In anticipation… |

This is a great poem, Venusfly. It is very descriptive... Your day will come and when it does, ie=t will be fantastic.. Well done! I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |
