Did I hear you say? That all women don’t know What they want in a man Just to partially agree with you Many women don’t know what they want Until they have actually received it But have you actually asked a woman What does she need in a man? This is on behalf of my sisters Who know what they need? But just settle for less Because they can’t find the best I need a man that has learned to love himself first So that I know he will not have a problem loving me I need a man with goals So that we can look forward to the future I need a man that respects his family So that I won't have doubts if we were to start one I need a man that is willing to communicate So when there are problems, we can talk them out I need a man who is straightforward So that there are no misunderstandings along the way I need a man that would sacrifice anything for his woman Because I too would do the same for him Now I could fill a page with things that I want But sometimes when you get the things that you want You realize just how much you didn’t need it after all But needs are essential to live a prosperous life And prosperity lives in the man that I need So the next time that you ask a woman What does she want in a man? Remember that wants come and go But a need is something that will last |

Speaking of need versus want is an interesting perspective. I think the greatest need for both men and women is good communication, especially before a serious relationshiop is established, and certainly before marriage. I believe that expectations are usually there but open communication is not, in many cases. Men and women are very different, physically mentally and emotionally. So often, I think, a couple charges forward in a relationship based on emotion and as time passes, other issues develop that present different views by each person, and maybe causes conflict in the relationship. Just thinking out loud. I have no hard facts that support my position, just one man's opinion. (for what it's worth)(a smile) Anyway, enjoyed this piece. Best regards.... |

Danny, It is always good to get a man's perspective on topics like these. Your words are so true, Communication is very important when in a relationship with someone,and people may never know what hides inside if they never ask questions or talk about their problems. Thanks for thinking out loud! |
