An orange glow lingering on the horizon Separating snow-covered lands from the sky Entangled wildly are clouds with rays of light Strikingly beautiful yet detrimentally final Ending another cycle of precious life Temperatures falling and silence setting in The distant silhouette of our planet Slowly vanishing out of sight The night collapsing into the light of the sun Soon to be crowned by a crescent moon It is dark now where the chills creep Adopting to the isolation which surrounds Blackness offset by emerging scattered stars Forming familiar patterns illuminating the sky Long believed to guide lost souls on their path Imitating the Sirens of past legends Enchanting sailors of the seven seas Luring spirits starving for affection To be devoured on rocky coasts and reefs Miserable fortunes by way of followed dreams Dreams that awake from within The shooting star across a silent night Fantastic cravings following an ecstatic hunger For another like sunset to be shared With the heart of this significant other |

I loved the last 2 stanzas - they spoke the loudest to me....beautiful this is. "Enchanting sailors of the seven seas....luring spirits..." What fabulous words and phrases you use! I love it.  |
