My friend Cheryl was such a lovely person we first met when I was made her manager she was what I would call a little hard nut always hard in her outward emotions but inside she was as soft as a newborn puppy or kitten we shared a lot, good times and bad lots and lots of hugs along the way both spending nights with each other when our personal lives got a bit much she coerced me into spending the weekend at at a 60's concert...LOL they put sugar on my pancakes and I hate sugar  few years ago, when I got rushed to hospital after ringing my (then) husband, I rang her he couldn't leave his meeting and without hesitation she arrived, stayed with me walked down holding my hand as I went to theatre she was there when I came round again from the loss of my child few weeks later, she rang me all excited told me I had to pack my things for a week she'd paid for a holiday in Spain for us both what she didn't know was that I had just accepted a new job starting the same day oh dear...dilemma...I rang my step-father asked his advice..and he said you need a holiday, you need each other you will always find another job, go on holiday so that's what I did and the company suggested I start the week after.. Cheryl suffered from eczema really badly all over her body and would never wear anything that showed her skin...but she didn't get away with that whilst we were on holiday.. I hid all her clothes...LOL with the sun and the sea, it started to clear up we had a fantastic time....she was such a good friend... On Monday just gone (1 year ago)...things got too much for her and she committed suicide....a few weeks back I remember laughing in here about the fact that she was here one night and we were using a banana for a demonstration on something....such fun we had... I miss you Cheryl Some friendships can never ever be forgotten. |

Lovely tribute to your friend. She sounds like she was wonderful! Even if we have a friend like that for a brief time, they make such a lasting impression.... |

Brought back memories of a friend I had many years ago that was killed in an automobile accident. Friends like that we never stop missing because we allowed them to enter that inner circle of ourselves where only the most trusted, truly caring friends can reach.
