In A Whisper Of Your Name In a whisper of your name I feel my desperate defeat In the shadow of your victory Now my life sadly incomplete Is this my destiny? In a whisper of your name I still feel your cold touch The void in my hopeless heart I had loved you so much You used me right from the start In a whisper of your name I’m scolded by the flame To you love was just a passing game In a whisper In a whisper of your name…… Marina Feb 26/2000 |

I can't tell you how much I "felt" these words as I read them. It's truly ashamed how loosely the word love is used these days - and the pain left to those who believed it true. Beautiful, but sad. Michael |

Truly, sadly, beautiful. Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Love or the lack of it has probably caused more mental and physical pain than anything else. Someone once said "the one who loves the least controls the relationship". Sad that we never truly know how someone feels when words are tossed around. Hope your doing alright. Enjoyed the poem. |

Danny, yes I think your right. It's funny how we stay always believing we can make the other change. But this was a long time ago and yes I'm better now ....thank you. Sven, Sven, Sven, Sven......so many things come to mind and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say these things here. Marina |

Marina-This is a well written poem... It really allows the reader to feel the pain of being in a manipulative relationship--atleast I think it does..maybe I'm just relating to it though. Anyway... I DID really relate to this poem and I think you did a lovely job portraying the way these things can make us feel. Well done. |

MyPenNameIsSam: Your asumption was correct. It is unfortunite when we choose the wrong person to share our lives with. Normally I would be glad you could relate to this ,but in this case I am saddened. Thank you very much for you comments. Dark Angel: Thank you for your complaint and I'm glad you liked it. Marina |

The title itself flows so readily from the tounge, as if it were waiting years and years for one aspiring poet to unleash it upon the hearts of the many who have read it. I give you my condolences for your seemingly bad luck with the relationship this work portrays. Godspeed, blessed poet |
