It is really bad, but my friend said it would be okay to post. Blame it on her Dear Death, Why do you hold a grudge? Why can’t you forgive? Why don’t you learn to loosen up, And let the poor boy live? Grandma with the ailing heart, Give her one more whack at life. It would save you a lot of work And us a lot of grief. I consider us old pals, you know. We’ve crossed paths many times. I’ve seen and heard of your works. I’ve read in papers of your crimes. Buddy of mine, one favor please, Just for old times sake, Maybe you could forget my name, Or lose it by mistake? Remember grandma and the boy, Remember all the rest, But do not remember me at all. It would be for the best. I would give you anything, But nothing can I give. Please, just find it in your heart To let the poet live. hailfellow "If life had no sense and I had to choose nonsense, then I too should consider this the most sensible nonsense." ~Nietzsche |

Death, oh death, Where is thy sting? As I fly on, Unfettered wing. I fear you not, As I live free. You'll not have me, On bended knee. I live with love, And joy and hope. Not with the grip, Of your fear's rope. Live each day, As if your last. For then regets, Won't come to pass. I don't think this is a bad piece at all. Inspired me to reply in verse. Well done. |
