Asked Sun of Moon, why do you hide, ...when I to you appear? In the rays of dawn's first light, ...what is for one to fear? Replied the Moon with gentle voice, ...you seek but do not find, As in the glare of blinding light, ...you see, but yet are blind. For I the Moon am evermore, ...I part not in the day, And with the stars in welkin blue, ...forever do I stay, When first the light of day does fall, ...and shadows start to rise, As fears creep in, you seek me out, ...to demons exorcize, You need not fear, the dark of night, ...nor be with evils fraught, But when the night turns into day, ...I beg forget me not, You need me not when day is bright, ...and thus you do not see, But in the shadows or the light, ...with you will ever be. Tim, I love the thought of the sun and moon chatting this way...what a wonderful idea...and this poem is beautifully written, as usual. |

Mike or Tim or whoever you are, I love the thought you put into this piece....I read it real slow so as to not miss a thing! Fabulous piece of work, sir. The ending was smooth and solid... |

Thank you all so much for the comments. Occasionally I will look to see if I can see the moon during daylight. Sometimes you are lucky enough to be able to do so. Perhaps we all should be looking for our moons more often. |

Mike, Your poem was so touching, making the reader look deeper than the sun and the moon but into all the unseen that we feel but never see. I was once told that the most beautiful things in life are never seen but felt with the heart I believe your poem captured that feeling as well. Thank you for sharing your gift. |

Great chat indeed.... So - If we have sunshine all day, does that mean we have moonshine all night? |
