I feel like Capt. Kirk

I don't have anyone new but I sure am trying.
All those feelings I had for you are slowly and surely dying.
Its sad but true you took me for granted.
You made me feel like an alien from some far away planet.

Now I have begun a new journey straight into outer space
the mission is to seek and find my celestial place.
I have become just one more alien heart cruising around
where planets, solar systems and stars abound.

My alien heart is free to roam but it wants to find its worldly home.
And new adventures will unfold by the minute
as we blast towards a new mysterious planet.
As we make our heavenly search
I'm beginning to feel like Captain Kirk.
Lets get going Capt. so we can explore the final frontier
and as the spaceship maneuvers thru space
Dr. Spock and Scotty assume their place.
Looks like we're all in this together
our broken hearts are getting better.

On moonlit nights we hope and dream for our final destination
that beautiful starlit day when wayworn hearts will depart from this alien nation.
And on that glorious day we will meet the woman to take our heart away.
Beam her up Scotty the woman of my dreams
destiny can only cooperate
with fates intended soulmate.

Finally two weary sojourners begin to share that much needed embrace
as together they rejoin the human race.
A prince and his princess that for so long traveled alone thru time and space
now share the joy of loves embrace.

You know - I can almost hear this as a song...

I love the imagery here.

Thank you Severn for your nice comments...it is my goal to write songs...but I am not musically inclined but I will get by with a little help from my friends.
Marge I love your comments...I will sleep good tonight.
Thank you Nurse and I will be back but the journey has just begun.
Marilyn it is my dream to write poetry with lots of imagery.  I thank you for your encouragement.
hoot owl wouldn't that be a dream lovers dream come true if we could only beam our lover to us when our heart was yearning the most?  I think I'll hurry and invent that dream beamer before anyone else does so I can make my first million.
just another fe you are so encouraging and yes I agree with you forever...someday we will meet the one to take our heart away.   Thanks everyone for your lovely magic carpet ride.   James

I love Star Trek

Beyond space and time there is a place where no man (or woman   ) can go unless you let them in......in your heart.  Lead her there with your dreams and there she will stay.  Nice read Jim and best of luck Capt Kirk

Thank you First Knight for your nice comments.  I have been willing to let many women into my heart and they have not let me into theirs...but my journey continues.  I took a simple small piece of paper and wrote "I love you Lena" on it and gave it to this woman I care for and then I watched her face as she read it, and than she signed on the other side "I Love you" but she used a heart for the love word.  I have it on a picture right above my computer.  This brings joy to my heart.  But imagine the joy when we find that we really do love one another or if not her when I really do find a mutual love.   James
