        A phantom shoal

On a night of household dreary,
Blessed and near a fires cheery,
I watched the moon of cold outdoor,
Dance shadows on my evenings floor.

Mixed with glowing red of embers,
Fixed my mind on old remembers.
From long ago in memories store.
Of things that were and are no more.

She visioned me in loving stare.
An apple face beyond compare.
With sparkling eyes and mouth of red,
She came to me pure fountainhead.

Tears ran down my cheeks, hot butter
Caused my heart to smart and flutter.
And warming me unto my core,
This blessed evenings fancied awe.

For I knew this shore a phantoms shoal.
A rueful muse, for a lonely soul.

Oh, Seymour~
To know your muse for
a fortnight would be Heaven to me.

You are a poet with heart and it
shows with each rendering from your pen.

Sy,
Your phantoms dance most anywhere
In ember light or whisp of air
We all have visions of the past
Only poet's page will make them last
Beautiful, beautiful poetry

My oh my, does this ever have a Poe feel to it (and considering that I think he's a master of rhythm, that is indeed a compliment my friend) What a rhythm with this piece, it sings itself and then some. Wonderful work
