Ten years have gone by and I love you still this pain inside is all too real. I give you my heart, my soul only for your disease to take control. I work all day and through the night take care of the kids, avoiding the fights. When I arrive you are drunk and cold shredding all the dreams we hold. I cry, I pray, I shed the tears putting on the smiles, hidding the fears. You blame me, I blame you when will this nightmare be through? Standing bold along your side my friendship, my happiness, my pride. This drink has taken you from me why can't you wake up, why can't you see. |
