as i sit here tonight alone in the dim moonlight i can't help but think of you and all the things you do that make me feel so good i'd hold you tight in my arms if i could but our distance has kept us apart and left such an aching in my heart yearning to once again feel your sweet kiss to feel the gentle carress of your lips or just to have you close to me that's the way it's supposed to be so tonight before i depart, i'll wish upon the brightest star that you and i will be together soon holding each other in the light of the moon and i have no reason to disbelieve that this wish i will receive for i'm living proof that wishes come true just look at me, girl, i have you |

WOW> I have a lump in my throat the size of Ayres rock. This poem speaks volumes to me...every night I used to actually wish upon the brightest star in the sky that my partner and I could be together ( he lived some 300 miles away from me in Scotland)... a beautiful, and for me, a very real poem. Thankyou. ![]() I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |

Jeremy~ I like your 'bright wishing star'. May it shine brightly for you. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
