For all these years all I've wanted is to drown, to fall down, and stay down.I had no urge to get up again, it required too much effort - and to what end? After all, they'd only push me down again. But recently I seem to be holding on holding out for a goal. And for once the goal is within my reach. Fall down every now and then but you help me back up and hold me while I gather my bearings. We will get through this together - if we hold on to our dream and keep on surviving, we will get there. And when this day comes they'll all know how serious we are. I feel so close to you, even when we are apart, (even though it stings so much) I never thought I could open up to you this much. All uncertainty has vanished as our love and trust has grown. Each day holds something new; more to hold on to, more to cherish, more to love. I hold so much power and knowledge inside of me now you are here. I never knew I could feel like this. I never knew I could write like this. I cannot be touched while you are holding me in your arms. Fall down every now and then but we'll pick each other up, dust each other down, keep on surviving, And realise our dream - Together. I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |

~M.O.~ This was great! I loved the way it all flowed together. I am glad that you have found someone who makes you this happy! I am also glad that you are striving together to reach your goal...Love is all we need sometimes, to make us realize how important life really is! Great job! Thanks for your reply Amy. The person that this poem is inspired by has had the most profound effect on me...he has made me take stock of my life so far and helped me to realise that there is so much to life that i have not let myself see yet. He has given me my life back. I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |

It's a beautiful poem, very uplifting and inspiring in its own right and obviously written from the heart. |

This is potentially cheeky, but in honour of the person this one is about, I'm going to shoot this one back to the top. Thankyou babee. I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I see it. |

No - not cheeky at all. How did I miss this the first time, anyway I'm glad I haven't now. I'm on the same side as Cabes here - have you shown it to him? The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition. |
