I am a soldier of love who seeks an adventerous life in whatever circumstances that chance offers in love and strife I am a soldier whose love is stronger than the wildest wind or rain and it will live when life itself appears to be in vain Day by day I march in love trying not to skip a beat you're the one I will always love you make me feel complete Above the roar and chaos against the raging sea and after all the sands of time have joined eternity This soldiers love is more enduring than the ever faithful friend and far beyond my fondest hopes that touch a rainbows end and though the universe may burn and melt away the sky this soldiers love will be the same and it will never die Just be glad I'm not your child! *evil grin* |

Hi Echo! Just read your poem and I really love it! It describes perfectly how I´d like to feel, being my own soldier not needing any rescue ... Thanks for this one (It seems I can´t get those smileys right!) [This message has been edited by Björn (edited 02-09-2000).] |

Im glad you liked it Björn. And eventually the smiley faces become something you dont even realize you are doing LoL <~~ see like that one hehe Thanks for the reply Did Jesus laugh? I think He did, 'cause He was once a little kid; and all of us were made with joy both sugar-spice girl and snake-snail boy! |

Great idea of a soldiers love....and a soldiers honor...Well done Echo There are two kinds of pedestrians...the quick and the dead. Drive it like you stole it. |

This is cool Echo....challenge was met well!! So did you leave CA?? Take Care Bridgette Creation of woman from the rib of Man: She was not made from his head to top him; nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him; but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved." |

Echo, nice to see you. You're a beautiful girl, hope things are going well for you! I love this poem. I especially like the way you paint a picture of the chaotic nature of life and the soldier's steadfast love through it all. "though the universe may burn and melt away the sky"--Great phrases in here!< !signature--> It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Hi I am not very good at poetry and new at this site, but I know good poetry when I see it, and that was wonderful . I like the metaphor of life being a battle . Many Thanks, that made me warm inside . |
