Pleasantries and small talk- To while away the time. How fleeting are the days we have to live. I strive to voice my passions- In tawdry lines of rhyme… I guess that’s all I really have to give. A glimpse into my visions- Which serve to push me on. The thought of past adventures to impart. A hint of faded romance- Nostalgia, déjà vu- The very essence of poetic art. An effort, just one effort- Like every foolish man…. To leave my mark, a trace upon the land. Our impact is so miniscule… They scarcely know we’re gone- Like footprints disappearin shifting sand. Footprints in the sand that quickly disappear. So true. Nice piece! Gunslinger, last evening I watched a movie about the capture of Geronimo. How about a poem about that infamous indian warrior. |

Finding a poem from you is always a pleasant surprise. Good job "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." -Charles Brugnot |
