The Phone Rang as never before. It was about mom who we all adored. The call came in the early morning, It was My Sister, Mom was rushed to the Hospital. So unexpectedly for she was sick weeks before and had gotten much better, But not well enough....... Watching you from the hospital bed you were so restful no pain at all. But as the Lady Doctor took us out in the Hall, Her chin hung low as she told us the news we didn't want to know. As all the Family weeped about, I said Blessings to you from my Heart. I tried so hard to compose my Tears. Helping each other we all did that day, with so many prayers and Holding Family as we sobbed through the night. For the very next day we would take out her plastic pipes. The doctor said nothing could ever be done for her Brain Clots had burst beyond thier control. And we could slowly watch her breaths get weaker every moment. The moniter gave us the readings, we didn't want to see, and before we knew it she was free. As we left her with the Hospital staff the Nurse was so special to allow us to stay, and she would take her on her way. I kissed her forehead the very last time, knowing she was nolonger to be mine. All the Family was about sobs and hugs were the only thing to do, for tomorrow she will be laid to rest. She will be in Heaven as God's Angel always. Mom we all Miss you so! Welcome to passion. My heart does out to you, I'm sure your Mom knows and she'll be watching over you. Belong I shall be a bird singing I shall be a child swinging I shall be the air to breathe I shall be the grass beneath I shall be the flowers bloom I shall be the light of gloom I shall be the grass that grows I shall be the river that flows I shall be a simple thing I shall be a bird’s wing I can be all that when I'm dead and gon' I can and will always belong The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

This is a beautiful tribute to your Mom, Lisa. I can relate to that phone call, the tubes, the monitors, the doctors and nurses. It isn't easy. Welcome to Passions. Please check your email for a special welcome! Denise |

Lisa I feel your loss through your words here and at the same time I can feel your thoughts of happiness for your Mother, knowing that she`s in a far better place with our Father In Heaven. You`ve done a nice job with this tribute to your Mom. Like the stars that shine down in the dark, lighting our way,so do our loved ones in passing. Thank you sharing this wonderful tribute to your Mom |

My sincere sympathy to you and yours This is bittersweet, you obviously had a good relationship and her a good life with a wonderful family. May God the Comforter ease your mind, and God the Healer ease your pain, and in God's Time all will be fine. through Jesus Amen! I've dealt with loss and sudden loss in my life. Listen to the rain... All the rain I know, only helps to grow. [This message has been edited by Paul Hoekman (edited 03-01-2000).] |

Lisa~ Only through the words displayed by you can I begin to imagine the trauma, the pain, of that situation. My heart hurts for your loss. But I have to agree with the comments above from my fellow poets...and you said it best with: "The moniter gave us the readings, we didn't want to see, and before we knew it she was free." Free...Free...Free...of all the worldy stress and strife. Peace be to you and yours, and WELCOME to our Passions familiy! |

Beautifully written account of a loving mom and her loving family going thru some very hard times and yet the love is always shining thru. I appreciate your testament of faith as I too believe the ones I love are in heaven with our heavenly father and Jesus. James |
