Freedom is a Gift of Love Where has that glistening gone that beckoned me to take that narrow precarious trail across the mountain with its charming? How it whispered like wings in the distant appeal of a river’s song, come and play this dancing water that waits near the precipice, it said. How the sound soothed this withering. I tore this satin skin in the winding and was lost, the trail behind me swallowed by the feelings that fell from me like tattered leaves. Now that I have come so far I can see just beyond the rise, the road paved with your sweet waiting. This freedom is a gift of love. |

Oh, this is so meticulously worded! Lovely, absolutely lovely! Almost makes my hair stand on end, and that would be something to see, considering it's about hip length. This poem is overflowing with keen feeling. Beautifully said. I love your imagery. |
