Lucky~ You always sneak in a line or two that grabs me ... this one did 'tape player was yet to be a dream invented when lovers would sit draped over each other in back seats listening to their own tunes' How far we've come ... and have yet to go. Wonderful, fellow. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

This brings back such memories for me! My father was a printer, and I too, remember those old presses. At eight, I loved visiting his work, watching his careful movements, like a sort of ballet, enjoying the scent of the ink, and the sound of the slapping presses. Boy, did he love those presses. I remember so many of these things - and I thank you for helping preserve them - in your own inimitable style! |
