Mother's Poem Forgive me my son, you who have loved me most in my life, forgive me for not honoring that love, by taking care of what you love so very much, forgive my passion my lack of control for what ever failings that keep me from taking care of myself forgive me for not knowing I am as precious as you hold me dear in your heart, it wasn't for lack of loving you my dear one, for I love you as vast as space and as quickly as time, no, it wasn't for lack of loving you, it was for lack of believing anyone could love me. author unknown |

Oh God, this spoke to me! The last line rings so very true! I think that's most of the problem! Thank you Robert, thank you! it wasn't for lack of loving you, it was for lack of believing anyone could love me. |

Robert~ This is just wonderful. I'm so pleased you found it and shared it. I've already printed it out and made a card out of it for a friend. It is lovely. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I am so glad you guys liked it. It brought tears to my eyes when I first read it several months ago. It hit home I guess even if I am not a mother!! Robert |
