Emerald Fury Cat’s eyes Framed by dark lashes. Something exotic About their almond shape. Brown when warm and innocent; Sauciness mirrored by hazel gaze; Anger, lust and joy Shine in green. The colors of me. The eyes are the windows to the soul And mine reflect my many moods. |

Tara - As a wearer of `green eyes` ... I'd have to agree. Nicely put. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Thanks, Nan, Denise. Marge, it amazes me every time I'm told my eyes are gren. I just wish they were that color all the time! It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |

Tara - this is what I read - people comment on your eyes being green (lusty wench). I notice they don't say much when your eyes are brown (innocent lil thang). Hmmm - lol - I love this poem. It is really hard to write about oneself and come across without bias. You've done this so nicely. Very good poem, lil Tara - (your peekshure shows a woman who has nothing to envy regarding cats - simply lovely and exotic). |

John, thank you very much for the comments (especially loved the "lusty wench" one). Brown eyes don't seem to be exciting enough to grab people's attention, but when they're green, people stand up and take notice!
