Far to the North In the realm of eternal Winter Lies the home of the Snow Dragon Scales white iridescence, like opals in the snow Teeth and Talons blue as a glacial flow They sun themselves amongst the icecapped peaks disguised as icy spires, glistening in the light Wings outstretched take to the air To dissolve within the clouds If ever you should find yourself in this frigid realm And if you believe in dragons, you will have nothing to fear For if you should slip, a bluish blur will set your foot aright Or if you should become snowblinded and loose your way Don’t scrutinize too closly the winking eye or ice-like claw That has deposited you where you may easily regain your way. Just look to the peaks, smile to yourself and give thanks, And when you hear a roar like a new glacier forming It is the voice of the Snow Dragon you are hearing, Echoing through his realm of perpetual Winter. |

Oh to be a Snow Dragon.. HUGS Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn. |

You've succeeded in making the dragon a beautiful creature in my eyes...loved the poem! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |
