As I was passing by a field A sea of tulips, red Red as fire, red as blood I saw one lone yellow tulip A sword pointing skyward Skyward, almost as a plea A cry to its maker for some One to make its stand with With just one more yellow tulip Against the onslaught of red. |

Lovely analogy. I felt just like that yellow tulip most my life. There are others out there, though, I've recently found out. Good poem. Michael |
