The Other Side Of Dark by ©Richard Budig 2000 Her hands flashed to mind as the rounds came in. Something about her hands, the way they slid over me in the dark of the night before I left for the war, and now, going in on the LST, with the rounds chattering by, I saw her hands again, and I thought to myself, if I die, I’ll wait for you on the other side of dark. |
