             The voyage

The past has built a ship for us
And it billows o'er the sea.
Its sails are full of memory gusts
And dreams of yet to be.

Through storms and fog and nights of doubt,
This vessel has endured.
And never will it come about,
These karma's are secured.

Two souls in love steer its course,
Its end is yet to come.
It goes beyond the albatross,
To weld two souls as one.

"It's sails are full of memory gusts...."   Exquisitely written sir!  All 3 stanzas are magical, especially touched my soul....as I feel I am too, on a voyage. Thank you for sharing such a wonderfully nautical piece....***curtsies and clapping

Enjoyed the seafaring references you've employed here. This puts me somewhat in the mind of the traditional, "The Water is Wide." I enjoy the concept of Life's ocean being humbly navigated within the vessel of one's own love. You've conveyed this splendidly.

   Seymour Tabin:

Wow, what a beautifully written poem, it took my breath away.  Usually I am not fond of poems like this, but, this one is just perfect and flows so well.  Your use of imagery shines, your words are magical.
I love this poem!!  The first verse sets the tone very well.

My favourite lines:

"and it bollows o'er the sea.
it's sails are full of memory gusts"

"it goes beyond the albatross.
to weld two souls as one."

This is the first poem that I had ever read by you, and I must say I am very impressed.  I look forward to more poetry by you.

I have poems in critical analysis and in dark passions, feel free to reply to my poems. Thanks!

Sy,

Exquisite is the magic pen
Whose song of lovely poetry
Lifts me up and takes me off
To sail the crest of sparkling sea

This is beautiful!!!
Love ya, Liz

Seymour -

Gosh ... this is just great !
Here I am ... in a little tug boat
and you go sailing by ... in a love boat !
I'm swamped by your 'wake' !

Ah, yes, this is lovely!  You've put a delicate, beautiful worded poem together that speaks to me of the love between my husband and myself.  Wonderful analogy! I couldn't have put it better! 45

Seymore, I believe this to be amoung your most beautiful yet

And so upon a ship of love
We two set sail as one
And through the thick and hazy fog
We rise to greet the sun

We sail uncharted waters
Off the coasts so far away
Hoping to reach the quiet shores
Of blissfullness someday

The futures not fanthoms away
But here within our grasp
So launch the sails, set course home
And tighten up the hatch

And when our journeys ended
And we've finally reached the shore
We'll anchor up our ship of dreams
The seas to sail no more
