Since I love romance so much, I just had to post this poem again She needs him and she wants him, and she can have him now, But she waits demurely, as he wonders with furrowed brow, "Does this angel want me? Is this part of the dance?" She'd be his forever if he'd the courage to take the chance. He lifts his hand and brushes her hair off to one side, As if it were an auburn curtain framing her azure eyes. She lifts her gaze up to him, and lets her smile beguile The boy inside the man, who's confused by selfdenials. A teasing dance begins at the corners of her mouth, As she tips her head coquettishly and lets her tongue dart out. The invitation's sent, but he fails to read the news, He simply gazes at her smile, doubting and confused. She's told him in so many ways, in the language of romance, That she is his to love and hold, if he'd join her in the dance. But dancing requires a partner who will step out on the floor And lead with measured grace though he's never led before. She begins to wonder if the years had dimmed the blush, From the bloom of her youth that had graced her with its touch. She's clearly announced to him that she awaits his longing arms, Her every message punctuated by her feminine charms. Women are wonderful dancers, swaying in perfect time, We men are oft oblivious to the rhythm or the rhyme. Women dance with passion because courtship is their soul, While we stand by in childish fear of what we can't control. The music is unmistakable for those who pause to hear, But too often a lifetime love is lost because of unacknowledged fears. For it isn't in the message, but the medium in which its sent, That the dance's invitation may miss the one for whom its meant. [This message has been edited by LngJhnAg (edited 01-11-2000).] |

Yea, ya gotta 'em droppin' at your feet again...."The Monster Mash".....you old softy you....using poems such as this ta get these ladies thinking you're a romantic!!..Nice job Sailor...."Dance like nobody's watching" right?.....You're something else sailor....but I luv ya.....By the way...all the God-awful things I've posted about ya today in 'other's" poems was only cuz Balladeer told me to...He was having problems with "bugs" in his computer today.....ya believe me....right?.... |

thank you, one and all. Sometimes I do try to write something a little more romantic. And then that rascally Toerag or that devilish 'Deer blow me outta the water with their humor and I become almost like them. Its a curse, I tell you, a curse! Incidently, Lorelei and I do dance well together, when I don't step on her toes or dance to far over the line - heh heh heh |

Thanks for those nice comments. As for you, Nan, men are easy to understand if you remember just a few simple things.(this is Lorelei here, don't believe a word he says about men being "simple"...they are anything but!) 1. We don't read body language very well, so the arched eyebrow may slip right by. 2. If you've got a problem, we are gonna try to fix it. If you don't want it fixed, then it isn't really a problem... right? 3. Intimacy is fine, but sex is a lot better! And with sex, we don't have to be intimate... right? 4. A little white lie is OK if it makes the woman feel good. For example, if she's feeling depressed, a simple, "I love you" works wonders, even if we don't really mean it... right? 5. Companionship is lot better than TV, except when its the last two minutes of a playoff game and the score is really close. Then companionship with a beer is almost as good as a TV and a beer. So.... don't let us run out of beer.... right? 6. We usually say exactly what we mean... no hidden messages, no subtle hints....and that's why we are always in the doghouse.... isn't it? |

Thank you, Marge As for you two scalawags (and you KNOW who you are)... hmmmmpppffff - but also lol@minuet and cutting in - For everybody else - Do you see now the true colors of those two ne'er-do-wells??? Now Pee Wee Herman's the king at the movie theatres, Balladeer romances the Palmetto bug, in most parts of the country ya spell Romance; T.O.E.R.A.G.....Hey, your kingdom can be out on the range?....
