The PassageTonight I hear a distant voice a murmur drawing near a candlelight that burns o'er head a lightness looming clear A way, a path, a stepping stone a soft surrendering sound a warming glow, a knowing nod a mystery's meaning found Our chosen voices edify, illumine and uphold ethereal messengers gliding by their passing stories told The spirit, searching, scans the skies with not an earthly word no physical missive to impart no spoken whispers heard Instead, a vibrant, crystal song enshrouds with healing verse harmonious spirit, body and mind a gift, some say, a curse A source of light, a passage known uplifting garnet guide a soothing heav'nly lullaby awake on the other side Claire |

I haven't seen anything of yours that isn't wonderfully written and this certainly is no exception. Enjoyed. |

"Instead, a vibrant, crystal song enshrouds with healing verse harmonious spirit, body and mind a gift, some say, a curse " Not sure what it is...but this stanza really sticks out to me. Well done! |

Mike...thank you, so glad you enjoyed it. Sally...thank you. I wrote this piece while reflecting on a conversation I'd had with a colleague about the communication between our world and those who've passed on to the next. Does that help? Bbuzz...thank you, and not to worry. Denise...the praise of a fellow poet is an honor, indeed. Thank you sincerely. Claire |

I agree with Liz. This should be a beautiful song. It's so lyrical amd melodious. It sings to the spirit. Love it! Poetry~ Words falling on paper, painting a dream. Shawna R. Holder Boise, Idaho |
