This poem is already on the spiritual board but, it also fits nicely on this board too. Ever since I was young, I wanted to learn about God. I was never sure what was to become because, when times was hard. As times went on, I praised him and use him as a mental emblem. As usual I had questions because, my mind was always second-guessing. I've often wondered, which answer to this question was right, is God black or is he white? I wanted to know because, I looked at him with two different eyesights. But one day, I know that the truth, will eventually come out in the light. I tried to erase my doubts and fears but, the mist ain't gone, I can still see clear. As a child, I was given a religion with no answer to why, I was just told to believe in him because, for me he died. But curiosity killed the cat because, I knew that there was more to that. So in wisdom books, I reached back and I kept reading, until my knowledge began to stack. Now my mind was no longer black because, I know more and now my soul is intact. I've read the books of Zen and Tao, keeping my brain well-rounded as a bagel. I've also read the Koran and the Bible because, they're all vital and they gave me hope and revival. I recommend these books because the truth is within them, read them boys, you can skim them like you eating Chips Ahoy. I now use religion as my eternal vision. Religion should be a natural way of life. Organized religion such as people telling me who I should pray to, just ain't right. And I don't care if he's black or white because all that matters is that, he represents what's right. You can call him God or Allah but they're the same thing as heavenly father. I'm just gonna preach the holy words to my brothers and praise God like no other because, when the Lord trumpet blows, only the God-chosen ones goes. Nathan |

A thought-provoking poem, Nate. And seems you are quite set on your chosen path well done '...I want to be free - free to know people and their backgrounds - free to move to different parts of the world...' Sylvia Plath |
