Darling, When you reach for me Don't take me down Like a book upon your shelf Quickly flipping to you favorite part Don't get in a hurry Just because you've read me So many times before You may think you know Everything that's written in my lines But please Don't get in a hurry Just relax Put on those rose colored glasses Reach for me as if I am The book you've never read The top one on your list A brand new fresh edition Hot off the press Feel the smooth corners of my cover Admire the golden edges of my pages Examine my table of contents Slowly read my introduction View my illustrated pages Smell the newness of my ink Take your time Digest the lines The paragraphs The chapters Read with anticipation Forward to the plot Until the book And you Become one [This message has been edited by Septsong (edited 01-09-2000).] |

SeptSong - I thought this was a lovely thought-provoking piece that simply said ... here I am ... get to know me well. Lovely ... just lovely. ~Marge~ |
