I hate these days of madness yielding that finds the world with daggers wielding and leaves me here amidst it all. to watch as it around me falls. And in this chaos of no end my mind I know I cant defend a victim of the social clashes lies lifeless in the ageless ashes. |

I must tell you again, Kevin, that I find your depths to be very unusual for one so young. I love this, and especially the last line - wow - it stuns me with its truth in a glaring spotlight of beautiful poetry. That last line is one of those rare ones I find, that I wish I had written. Thank you for sharing this one. |

Wonderfully done, Kevin! It's nice to know I'm not the only old soul out there. I've felt like this many times in my life, and you portray it with stunning accuracy. You have true talent. *Krista Knutson* ~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack, Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare, Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water, Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha |

Another good one! Simple, to the point, and eloquent. Lovely. ~Astraea "Sometimes stars can only be seen in darkness." "Sorrow's crown of sorrow is remembering happier things." |

You often hit with a brand new perspective on things. Most people would think to defend their bodies. You say you cannot defend your mind. How well spoken, young man Liz |
