Beautiful, I've been a landscaper half my life and never heard a rose described with such love, very nice. Paul |

Could your rose be symbolic of passion? Of power? Of love? Of earthly "treasures"? This poem is potent, no matter what the source of the tempting fragrance. Very nice! Claire |

Lorelei, Paul, whiskey, Meadowmuse, nate, Seymour... thanks for your comments. As the poet here and not really talking to other poets about my poems before. I'm not really sure about what is prudent. Will it take away from your viewpoint if I tell you what it symbolizes to me. Please give me your input on this anybody..... James Parker |

Meadowmuse, To me it symbolizes life and our search for Love, we are all just flowers in the garden... and in this love story "Only the Rose" tells the ending. James (Parker) |
