On the wrong side of the bed I got up today. So I'm a little bit grumpy, what can I say. As I look in the mirror, I see quite a sight. I must have had a really rough night. These circles under my eyes make me look like a racoon. With my hair sticking up you'd think I flew in on a broom. As I walk down the hall, my joints creak and they pop. And my head starts to spin like a toy spinning top. My cheeks are quite flushed and my nose is all red. Why did I even climb out of my bed? As the phone starts to ring, I jump out of my skin. The thundering sound makes my head throb within. So glad that the new year comes only one time. For the rest of the year, I'll walk a straight line. I search for an aspirin I can't seem to find. So back to bed I will go, I've made up my mind. |
