Now girls, I don't want to get 50 e-mails over this, it's just a poem. I Didn't Mean It I didn't mean to meet you It was by sudden fate I saw your name upon the screen One evening cold and late I was searching for some poetry Meandering through the page I didn't know that you'd be there Upon the poet stage It was quite accidental This meeting of the mind I wasn't looking for the gold I was about to find I didn't mean to read it The poem of guilded phrase I was inadvertently intrigued In wonder and amaze Who was this learned poet A master of the trade A craftsman of the written word Of gentle, smooth persuade A poet of a brilliant mind That strung me right along Wielding soft linguistic style To make a perfect song Writing captivating verse And mesmerizing phrase Enticing me with magnet's pull Into poetic daze And there you held me captive Without my firm consent I didn't mean to be there It was by accident I didn't wish to know you It wasn't my desire But there was written on the page A man of life's desire I couldn't help but notice Your charismatic charm I felt it accidentally When my spirit was disarmed It wasn't my intention To confiscate your dreams I apologize for loving you By accidental means Love was furthest from my mind A notion far apart Until the day you accidentally Tripped into my heart Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 01-04-2000).] |

Mr. Rebel, you know how we women are, wanting to know all the details. But it's just a poem, as I said. I thought it was kind of cute Thanks for your comments |

Elizabeth: Excellent!! HUGS Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn. |

What you captured here, is the quintessence of romance! Especially to your fellow (and female) poets! Corinne |

Such a beautiful expression Liz, but what do you mean, just a poem, there's no such thing. In the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. (ee cummings) |

Liz Thank you for explaining that this was just a poem. If my lil Lorelei ever read this poem, I would be in deep trouble. I used to be that way - always laying out the traps, getting myself into more and more trouble. Its been a long learning experience for me. As for Toerag - well, he is a rascal, and you must never fall under his spell. |

Elizabeth I have been affected in this way many times as I was reading the words that come from within anothers heart. As I read this it reminded me of something I had written to my friend Mich when I was describing how I would know who the right woman would be for me. I had written in part "she would be simple yet so very elegant." James |

Suthern, Thanks, dear. Yes you did choose scenic, delightful, colorful and fun Pepper, I knew you would like this and that you would definitely not e-mail me, and I also think you are probably sitting by your screen waiting for me to get home so you can e-mail me Sy, I don't know if anyone blushed If they did, they're staying hushed Rainbow, Thanks, I somehow feel a thumbs up from across the Atlantic Corrine, Well, I guess I'll have to write another one of this nature Martie (Shhh) Only you would think of that LngJhnAg, This poem is not about Toerag, but I am under his comical spell. Thanks for your comment Mr. Balladeer,Thanks for the nice comment but... We saw you broaden your horizons On old Texas 1-8-3 But she turned toward the left And you turned right so easily You could have turned to the left instead But like suthern, have one love in your head Jaxjoy, Thank you much! Denise, I am truly amazed, not one e-mail! Thanks ,Denise |
