The perfect moment, when worries fall like lemon drops on your tongue; teasing, exhilerating; examining your toe and discovering those antibiotics are working; standing stuffed on the street, feet pounded sensitive from work, and feeling the satisfaction; thinking of your application to the writing paper under review; turning your insides into delicious agonies. Better than the communion of just-lovers, deeper than a meditation on death, and wider than your life are these half-cravings which play on your pores; the natural symphony. |

It's great getting positive replies... Kess, thanx again Hoot, it came to me in a dream!! Nah, just kidding, I get flashes of lines I have to write down...does anyone else get that? Mirjam, awe is mutual, and no I haven't, still waiting on the word, tenterhooks, etc! samsonheart, thank you. Severn, don't raise that possibility!!!! DarkAngel, it came from the heart on the way home from work. Echo Rhayne, yeah citrus is my favourite fruit... "Stop this day and night with me and you shall possess the origin of all poems, You shall possess the good of the earth and sun (there are millions of suns left,) You shall no longer take things at second or third hand, nor look through the eyes of the dead, nor feed on the spectres in books, You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take things from me, You shall listen to all sides and filter them from your self." >Walt Whitman, Song of Myself. |
