             The wall of doubt

There is a door through the wall of doubt.
And belief, is the one and only route.
Work is the handle and this you must turn.
And once through the door you will learn.

Perseverance is the road you will tread.
And this you will live, from bed to bed.
Then when a new doors comes to view,
You will know exactly what to do.

T'was something taught by my mother and dad.
And they by their mother and their dad.
So on and so forth through generations
And that has built countries and nations.

I do not say it is always that way,
But if we try hard, it very well may.
There is one golden rule to use as a clue,
Just do unto others as they would unto you.

Sy, I think you pretty much covered it with this one; hard work, perserverance, kindness, and belief in yourself. That sure has worked for me. Nicely done. Thanks.

Sy,
The golden rule, such few words to guide one throughout life. They are magnificent words.
Your poem is beautiful.

The Golden Rule....one certainly to try to live by!
This is a wonderful piece Sy...

Such wonderfully gentle words of warning as these must surely be heeded, from all perspectives.

Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~.
