Hidden deep inside the mind Are memories of a different time. They take me somewhere far away. Back to a place of a better day. Where you could safely walk the street. Or talk to strangers that you meet. Life moved at a slower pace. Nothing like today's rat race. I often wonder where time's gone. It spins around and then moves on. Leaving behind warm memories To come and visit, when you please. [This message has been edited by Eloise (edited 01-02-2000).] |

Eloise, Nice poem. Those of us with memories of different times, ones where the world seemed safer and more friendly are the lucky ones. Think of those that have never really known a different world. Warm memories are treasures, indeed. Chris |

Beautiful Eloise!! Wonderful poem and the flow was excellent! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

The comforting memories of a gentle time...so heartfelt and well written. We often rely on these memories to keep us connected to the who of who we are, I think. |

I must admit - I have to remind myself to lock my doors behind me.... I grew up not having to be concerned about such trivialities.... Nice thoughts here... |

Can't say I remember those days, or maybe I was just in a daze. Warm memories do warm up the heart. |

Very well done! I can remember those days too, when you could stay out late and not have to worry! Some day it will be like that again! Treasure the memories! <*\\\>< Where there is faith, there is love. Where there is love, there is peace. Where there is peace, there is GOD. Where there is GOD, there is no need. Hallmark |
