Okay, I'm new here and I've spent the past few hours reading the lovely poetry that this site offers..... I've been here before a few months ago and submitted some poetry but I guess nothing ever came of it or else it just takes a long time? Anyways, I absolutley love this site, it's GREAT and I guess I just wanted to try posting something. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Happy holidays by the way!!! SHATTERED Tiny fragements of glass, embed themselves here. Cutting. Tearing. Shredding. Ripping open and revealing, this lonely blood-soaked void. They have severed, the vein of love. They have pierced, the pulse of joy. Nothing left, but the persistant flow of blood. Dripping. Dousing. Drenching. The gleam of shattered glass, frosted in brilliant shades of red. Cracked. Broken. Unrepairable. Blood seeps from the core, my heart. "I am become death, shatterer of worlds." Robert J. Openheimer |

Ouch! And you seemed so cheerful at first, Red. Can't wait to see what you post when you're miserable. |

What a lovely poem and it hits so close to home, too. Welcome to Passions! Very nice. ~Astraea "Sometimes stars can only be seen in darkness." "Sorrow's crown of sorrow is remembering happier things." |

Thank you oh so kindly for the feedback everyone and Ted------ I am a happy person and rarely miserable (outwardly anyways)... poetry and music are the only places, it seems, that I have to vent!!! |

Red: Sounds like you're in need of a hug, so: HUGS Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn. |

Hi Red, Are your name and this poem related? I know many of us have felt this level of heart shattering pain. You've captured the agony well. Very nicely done. Chris |

Wonderful poem, and welcome to passions! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |
