There is no darkness here
only the twilight of another day
softly spoken night words of love
are all you’re allowed to say.

Bring your heart into this quiet
and lay down upon my breast
breath slowly and enjoy
the solitude of this rest.

Worry not about the morrow
it will be there when you wake
put yourself into my hands
you give and I will take.

Give me your harried worries
give me your day of stress
I’ll take your cares and stroke them,
soothe them with my caress.

In perfect harmony, we’ll sit
and wait til your soul is eased
then with your smile I’ll know,
that you have been well pleased.

I don't remember this one from before PDV, but it's very lovely. I like the calming effect that not only the words, but also the meter to this one have

Oh, that felt so good! If you're not too
busy ... What? You're already spoken for?
Have you by any chance got a twin sister?

As peaceful as a swing on the porch, or sunlight breaking through clouds...

Very nice PDV

Now, isn't that the kind of spoken love we all want and need to hear? Wonderfully written, Sharon... very well done, indeed! I believe I remember this one and it's good to read it again. Thank you.
