Material Passions < !signature-->Your whole being sparkles and shines in the night, Yet in an instant you could disappear from sight. My heart soars among the clouds like an eagle- proud; My family said you are like a drug-illegal. So thrilled to have your presence within my home, Your body is like fine-crafted chrome. I know you are fragile and require much care, Why do people thing I'm being unfair? In a fire would I grab you before you baked, or my youngest child, baby Jake? I spend so much time admiring your beauty, Leaving my friends and family to their own duties. They say it is you that should be helping the needy But if I want you more why do they think I'm greedy. You have opened doors when I could never get in, You make me feel like I am drunk on Gin. They say it is you that is causing all the trouble, People I don't even know want to rumble; attempting to snatch you, my greatest possession. They talk like you are my psychological obsession. You said I should have wanted you more. You said it is you I should adore. Could they be right I don't need you much, You are limited-to the things of the heart and such. What can you do for me when I am all alone, I will be despising you, wishing you were my clone. For you can't care for me when I am ill, or laboring to draw my final breath laying still. It will be the hugs and the love in my desperate hours, Not the gifts and comodities all flowered. So no thank you, I don't love you so much anymore. So much feeling shared within these lines.......So well written....I like this Julie  I have learned that the pain of a lost love will fade, But the memory of having loved will last forever. |
