ONE NIGHT I hear the howl, the winds of hate, The night calling through bitter frost. A searing scowl of christened fate, A light falling beyond love lost. The echo rings, a trumpet blast! The darkness shines, the dead stand tall. Memory sings the moment past, Silence defines the loss of all. For deafened ears may heed the call But blinded eyes may never see. The price in years behind a wall Of selfless cries to misery. True pain, inflicted, holds her charm, But grown men crawl on bloodied knees. The feigned, addicted, see no harm, Sacrifice all in need to please. Thus Time recounts tainted vision, Near sighted hopes on stars far flung. Shame mounts the steed of indecision Fear's plight on slopes of sorrows, wrung. The castles fall by blood red sky The victims flail in the melee. One by one all will hone the cry, By gust and gale, forsake the day. Riches plundered, vows forgotten, Dreams laid to death, we mourn no more. Truth, encumbered, misbegotten, In gasping breath evens the score. A lifelong act, poured into passion, Dares call upon priceless delight. Ignoring fact, in some sweet fashion, ‘Twill all be gone, in but one night. Michael Anderson It's the little things you take for granted, That'll mean the most to you when they're gone. |

Well, we woke up this morning and this isn't Heaven we are in so guess the rapture hasn't taken place as yet. I really didn't expect it would with so many people expecting it. I still want to take a cruise but if we get a chance to fly instead, I'm gone. Great poem Michael. Happy New Year to you and little Mikey. Tell him I want to read another one of his poems. The only way to know Love, is to Know God. |

Michael, this is magnificently wonderful!! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

Thank you all for your kind replies. Certainly, a lot was behind this one. MaeDavid, well, I must admit I'd have been surprised myself had the rapture taken place last night, too. Looking very forward to the cruise, also. I'm working on Mikey, his attention seems to be soley wrapped up on a computer game right now, though....LOL Too much like his Daddy, I fear, can't handle two projects at once. Michael |

Wonderful Michael! <*\\\>< Where there is faith, there is love. Where there is love, there is peace. Where there is peace, there is GOD. Where there is GOD, there is no need. Hallmark |

Appears that someone was thinking! Didn't I tell you that was bad for your health Mike? (But produces wonderful verse!) |
