Listen to the rain it never rains the same it can shower or pour that's what umbrellas are for. It's natures wonder just like lightning and thunder the way clouds form when it's humid and warm how I love a summer storm. Listen to the rain it never rains the same first it's soft like sweat and then your soaking wet, it fills your overalls the harder it falls until your legs are heavy then the rain seems steady. Listen to the rain it never rains the same not that I'm accident prone just hit my funny bone, jammed my finger then stubbed my toe there's really nothing so funny about that funny bone, had a pimple and now a canker sore, I guess it's true what they say when it rains it pours. Listen to the rain it never rains the same we meet lovers and friends make our hearts twist and bend, like the tides of the ocean filled with waves of emotion, any cloud in the sky could be a friend passing by, and we all have problems so don't refrain, every cloud in the sky must some day rain. So listen to the rain, listen to the rain all the rain I know only helps to grow. [This message has been edited by Paul Hoekman (edited 01-01-2000).] |

There is a silver lining in those clouds isn't there? And a reason and a purpose for everything under heaven! Well done, Paul, great message in this! Denise |

Neat. Good effort on metre and rhyme. Without wanting to pick at it, don't you mean "canker sore"? |

ahhhhhh I LOVE THE RAIN....and after 9 months of a dry spell we finaly got about 10 minutes of rain yesterday LoL was bad enough to cause over 400 accidents in one county alone, but I LOVE the rain =o) I love playing, listening, and of course singing in the rain =o) ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

RAIN! What is that? Huh? Do you know we haven't had rain here since September 12! When it does fall, I'm not sure I'll recognize it! ![]() (If we did have rain, I'd like your poem..ok so I like it anyway! ![]() |

I enjoyed reading this poem Paul. I was on the freeway when that cloud burst that Echo was talking about happened. It hasn't rained here for so long, it was welcome, but also frightening. |

Paul, I enjoyed this...the rain has always been a source of wonder, mystery, inspiration and renewal for me. Matter of fact, it's raining here tonight ~ thunderbooms, flashes of lightning, wind racing around...it gives the night an intriguing edge of vicissitude. Thanks for sharing this one tonight. ![]() |

very nice. Sends me back to the patio during a rainstorm in my memories and listening to the sounds of the rain and feel of the air. |

Hi Paul, Love your message and this part: not that I'm accident prone just hit my funny bone, jammed my finger then stubbed my toe there's really nothing so funny about that funny bone, had a pimple and now a canker sore, Rus |

Love the message, love the poem Paul, I remember the occasional hot summer day in Toronto when it would rain. I was a teen and I loved to walk out in it and get soaked, it was so relaxing. Thats when I wrote my only haiku. (Rain) Falling through night air splashing softly on dark ground quiet sounds of rain. |
