I saw an ad for a job opening
And went to there office;
I new I was qualifyed.
I met with the personel manager,
He said my resume was very impresive.
I said your welcome, I’ve worked hard
To get where I’m at today.
We talked for a while,
And I answered all his questions pretty good.
At the end the personel manager said
“We will need a writing sample;”
I was ready, of coarse, and handed it to him,
A report I had wrote for my old job.

That was a month ago.
Why does it take them such along time
To make up there mind?

Brad:

Perhaps you should be more concerned about who you're talking to ... (hint: Juris Doctor).

Not laughing at you...but with you...*smiling*

I know exactly how you feel...they just don't recognize the good stuff when it's sitting in front of them...

Their loss...right?   )

i liked the conversational tone you used in this poem...seems like the speaker is talking directly to us...

yep,job-hunting sux,why do people give you high hopes when they are not going to hire you in the end???

Ruth:

Hmmm.  I DO have nice legs.  Let me think about the short skirt thing.

And Jenni, don't knock Ally McBeal ... even though she would wash out in a REAL law firm, she is still making a whole heckova lot more $$$ than all of us put together.

Brad:

I think it's "Ally" (short for Allison).

Philip:

You English celebrate hog mating season?  I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, especially coming from a people who think public television is interesting.

Jenni:

Good luck in your job hunt, btw.
