Freedom Island
------------------
Do you ever dream,
of those far away scenes,
of places you've never been.
Well not far from you,
where the sky is so blue,
and the water so green.
Its not a dream,
So come with me,
to this inland Sea.
In the dark of the night
the sky is so bright
with the northern borealis
and the milkyway lights.
Up there is a place,
hidden from the race.
An Isle on the sea
and it waits for you and me
its not a dream,
an Island called Freedom.

Ok, Girls I don't know if I can handle
all this attention. Well let me think, there are seven days in a week. Oh 3 days to recover, yep it'll work.....
Thank you girls, you put the biggest smile on my face today.
Incase you are interested Freedom Island is located on Georgian Bay which is part of the Great Lakes, just off Lake Huran. Its in the North Ontario region. Its a one acre Island on the bay. In the summer, the Northern Lights can be seen, usually a few times. If you haven't ssen the northern lights, you will be amazed. The first time I saw them, I didn't know what they were. I thought it was a reflection of a forest fire somewhere further up north. I was a light blue hue, stretched out in pulsating waves. Its a sight to behold.
So who wants to go first?

I'm having a hard time choosing here. Your all just teasing me, probably all married. Ok, the first really interesting reply. Does this sound like a challange. Stir my romantic heart.

Corinne, Corinne, don't pout I have to be polite, those fire red locks got me in a state. Ah but if only you could be single my dear sweet Corinne. Well are you? I need to write some new love poems, and I can't do it in good faith unless I know, that you are.
Your all probably married and taken, but I could pretend. Fantasy is healthy, na I prefer the real thing.

Noooo, PICK ME I'm single too!!
Beautiful verse, will you whisper it to me whilst we watch the lights? *sigh*

Okay spur of the moment thing:
Dear sweet James Parker Paler,
My heart is caged and you're the jailer,
Unlock the door and set me free,
Away to Freedom, just you and me!!!

What a lovely place freedom must be.  There is a place equally nice that I know of and it's called Paradise(not the heavenly one, an earthly one) You got my wanderlust kindled with this one.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

I loved the easy ryme scheme and flow of this poem.  I reminds me of all my Carribean travels.  But don't worry I won't ask you to take me with you,  I'm sure with all these love sick teenagers you have enogh on your plate. Besides my idea of a private island might be perhaps a little to much " Swing" in it for you!!

devina, xxxxxxxxxoooxxxx, sorry I had to stop, I think my screen is going to short out.

Martie, thanks it is a beautiful place

Parker

Katie, I'm not sure that my Canadian slang meaning of "Swing" means the same as yours, so can't comment without giving the wrong impression of Oh! innocent me.

Well Katie, my meaning of "Swing" only involves the opposite sex, and lots of them.
Like the plaque on the old Playboy mansion said if you don't swing don't ring. Is that what your getting at.

Soon to be single, as the saying goes,
and as over one half of the population knows,
so I've seen a bit road, here and there,
but I'm telling ya, I'm no worse for the wear!
