Wandering timelessly through a wasteland of doubt, -thoughts of you perish- My mind drifts... confusion j e r k i n g at the tethers of reality's grasp. Pulled this way- -then that, I find myself dreaming... Of a future... A destiny filled with impossibilities and realized probabilities. A step closer; approaching destinations of fantasy's desire. Crushed Beneath these feet of iron the hopes of others become diminished corpses, brittle frail no more! Reverberations of questions -fly light years- only to return in seconds And just at the climax, I approach my throne... god-hood awaits! But no! I am awake. Yet... am I still dreaming? |

Chris: If you're dreaming, you must be a God cause I believe what we dream we can reach and therefore we can have so maybe we are what we dream.....Now did I tell you about the dream of..... I never know just what to say in reply to your work my friend. We have such different styles and yet you know just how to read my thoughts at times. Your talent is never ending Chris. Wonderful. |

Chris, like Marilyn I too am always at a loss for words to adequately respond to your work. This is brillant (as usual) you never cease to amaze and interest people with your work. Bravo!! Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely. ~Isis~ (Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Christopher- All works of dreams draw me. This one had me spell-bound. A most interesting piece. I find that I like it very much. Pretty gosh-darned good ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I don't believe I ever saw the previous version, but I must say I like this one quite a bit ... This had a dreamlike quality that was very true to the content -- the phrases and images were disconnected, a bit fuzzy 'round the edges -- yet they followed a sort of pseudo-logic that would make perfect sense to the dreamer. You know I love your free verse, m'friend, and this is precisely why. --Me Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |

Quite an interesting poem you've given us to feast upon, m'friend. I'm not quite sure if I've seen this one before, but the way you've formatted it (the word 'jerking') is waving a flag at me, so maybe I have. I any case, I agree with Kess on the 'dreamlike' quality and will also add that the formatting for some reason stands out more on this one than others I have read of yours; it lends much to the piece overall. Splendiferous, as always! I'm thinking I'd like to see you write a dud...just once...lol May I never be too busy to help another's load, Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed. --Author Unknown |

The dreaming in life never stops my friend, only in death may we be awakened. Wonderful work (expected no less). michael |
