Curiosity ???

About  a  half  mile  back
as  the  crow  has  flown
It's  the  scene  of  a  crime
where  old  Thomas  calls  home
~
The  eagle  has  landed
boasts this  big  talking  crow
as  he  lands  on  a  wire
with  train  track  below
~
Old  Thomas  was  due  for  a  feast
so  he  thought
As  he  sauntered  on  over
and  laid  by  the  track
~
The  crow  was  no  fool
he  could  see  quite  a  ways
Then  the  show  he  put  on
kept  the  cat  in  a  daze
~
The  train  thundered  by
on  the  long  shiny  rail
And  ripped  off  a  piece
of  old  Thomas's  tail
~
The  crow  mocked  old  Tom
said  his  tail  wasn't  lost
Just  over  that  track
he  said  it  was  tossed
~
When  curious  Tom
leaned  over  to  look
his  head  joined  his  tail
now  the  crow  is  a  crook
