Farewell old Friend ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alone I scale a mountain peak the face shear straight and cruel the fear of height is paramount causation my only tool ~ My friend is safely on the ground in essence by my side with beckoning words distracting me at each painful step I rise ~ It took a year to clamber here atop the first plateau the essence of my friend is still just on the ledge below ~ The cosmos I've ascended to and stopped to reminisce gives time to bid my friend farewell his essence now rarely missed ~ As I press on to gain the peak a sound haunts from afar it rises up the distant slopes from my friend ... my last cigar |

Gave up smoking, Rex?! Good for you! Maybe someday I will have the courage to scale that mountain! |

Once again, you have cheered me up, my new friend. But don't ask me to give up MY cigars. We WOULD have our first fight! |
