Heartache
~~~~~~~~
Theres  something  on  my  chest
the  pain's  excrusiating
like  a  stab  beneath  my  breast
The  days  are  long
I  sigh  and  moan
at  night  I  get  no  rest
~
I  pace  the  floor
two  days  or  more
no apparent  place  to  go
A  weary  weight  oppresses  me
Just  why
I  do  not  know
~
Money's  not  an  issue
so  put  that  plan  to  rest
I  fear  the  need
to  trust  someone
and  get  this  off  my  chest
~
My  friends  in  kind
are  true  and  blue
they  want  to  ease  my  grief
I  doubt  that  their
intentions  tried
could  bring  my  heart  relief
~
My love's   not  lost
my  family's   fine
I  think  this  pain  at  best
Is  nothing  but
my  home  made  wine
I  drank  and  can't  digest
~~~

Dost mine eyes decieve me, or has my most favored word passed thy pen? (challenge, that is -- LOL)

I don't know what the challenge was (though I'd like to), but I like the poem much!

--Kess

 Full fathom five thy father lies,
Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

--William Shakespeare, from The Tempest
