Listening to every heart

Canadian Wild

I would if I could, take a touch of black
a bit of white and gray on my back,
feathers and soft down to make me soar,
and then I would ask for one thing more.

I would if I could, take my forever love
and wing with him ever so high above
tenderly calling out to my life’s mate
together in life, then at heaven’s gate.

I would if I could, be this creature
for this lovely bird has a special feature
the geese mate for life, up to heaven’s door
and for a life’s love, I’d not ask anything more.

No, Parker, just taking a little poetic license.  Canada lies to the north of this little Kansan.

Denise - thanks again for coming in to read!

Wonderful Sunshine! Simply lovely....

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

Pepper, Marge, thank you for reading.  This is indeed a tribute to my husband, and I would share it with him, if he didn't make fun of my "poul--try"...
