Love is not a living thing It is not born of moonlit night It does not grow in sun's loving light Not of Hope springing eternal; Nor beauty personified, Or time immortal Love is not a tangible thing Not to be felt as summer wind's kiss Can't be granted with a hopeful wish It is not the sun, the moon, the sky; It is not a rose, or the light in your eyes Love is not a living thing Not of Hope springing eternal; Nor beauty personified Love is not a living thing For living things have to die |
